Why are injectables so popular?

As we age, our faces begin to show the effects of gravity, sun exposure and years of muscle movement, such as smiling, chewing and squinting. The underlying tissues that keep our skin looking youthful begin to break down, often leaving laugh lines, smile lines, crow’s feet or facial creases over the areas where this muscle movement occurs. Treatments with Botox and a variety of injectable fillers in Seattle can help reduce these lines and creases, restoring a smooth, more youthful appearance.

Aging is not, however, just about lines. As we age, we lose fat volume under the skin, particularly in the face. For example, loss of cheek and eyebrow volume can lead to the mistaken appearance of tired eyes. Other areas, including the temple, jawline, and lips, may be affected. When injected beneath the skin, these fillers plump up creased and sunken areas of the face. Fillers are also effective in rejuvenating the hands and feet! Injectable fillers may be used alone or in conjunction with a resurfacing procedure, such as a laser treatment or a re-contouring procedure, such as a face lift.

Minimizing Pain & Side Effects of Injectable Treatments

For some cheek and jawline injections, we may use an intraoral (through-the-mouth) technique to minimize, if not avoid completely, bruising and swelling.
