Ulthera
Ulthera, also called Ultherapy, is the latest technology that utilizes ultrasound technology to visualize and treat the skin’s deep support structures. This impressive treatment gradually strengthens the skin from within to create a natural lift, creating a brand new category in aesthetics: non-invasive tissue lifting!
Seattle cosmetic surgeon Dr. Craig Jonov uses this ultrasound technology to direct sound waves deep under the skin to gently heat the tissue and lift and tighten loose skin without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. So if you’re looking for a non-invasive technology to help restore a more youthful, yet natural appearance, Ulthera may be right for you.
Ultherapy is best for:
- Tightening and firming loose or saggy skin on the face and neck area
- Lifting skin on the face and neck area.
What to Expect During Ultherapy
You will have a personal consultation with Dr. Jonov to determine whether Ultherapy is right for you.
Dr. Jonov performs the procedure by holding a small, handheld device against your skin. There is no need for anesthesia as the procedure is both non-invasive and performed on an outpatient basis. The device captures and projects ultrasound images of the inner layers of the skin, and by looking at these images, Dr. Jonov will be able to determine precisely where you need treatment. Using the same device, Dr. Jonov will deliver low levels of heat to the optimal areas for lifting and improvement.
The Ultherapy procedure typically takes about 30 minutes, and you may feel a mild warming sensation or prickling underneath the skin. Most patients are able to achieve their desired results in one treatment.
After Treatment With Ulthera
Patients are typically able to return to their daily activities immediately following the Ultherapy procedure. Some patients do report redness following surgery, which typically diminishes on its own within a few hours.
