Overview: Belotero
Our surgeons proudly offer Belotero for patients in Seattle wishing to get rid of wrinkles and obtain a fresh, healthy glow. This hyaluronic-based derma filler injection adds volume and shape to the face. It is a popular choice among cosmetic surgeons. Hyaluronic acid is a natural hydrator in our skin that reduces as we age. Due to its special formula, Belotero contains the unique ability to reduce deep wrinkles such as lip and smile lines and forehead wrinkles. It is fit for those wanting a long-term, immediate wrinkle solution that brings a younger complexion.
Belotero is a smooth, hyaluronic acid filler favored for softening fine, etched lines and delicate areas that benefit from subtle blending. Our injectors use conservative, precise placement to refresh without bulk—aiming for a naturally smooth finish.
Surgical Technique
Following your Belotero injection, mild swelling and redness at the injection site are normal. This will subside in a few hours. Patients can return to everyday activities, but exercise should be avoided for a few hours. Results following the injection will become apparent immediately and usually last between 6-12 months. After surgery, skin will look younger and restored.
During/After Belotero
Belotero is injected in an in-office appointment that takes about 15-30 minutes. The injection treatment is tailored during the procedure to fulfill the patient’s needs. This includes: the dosage, specific formulation, and injection site. The injection is given through a syringe to the target areas of the face. As a result, patients feel a small prick as the needle inserts through the skin, but topical anesthetic controls any pain or discomfort.
Questions about Belotero
How Does It Compare?
There are many trustworthy fillers on the market today, each with their set of benefits. While several filler products made of hyaluronic acid exist, Belotero works differently. It interacts with the mid-to-deep dermis for correction of moderate-to-severe wrinkles and folds, such as laugh lines. The differences between the hyaluronic fillers can be discussed during the initial consultation.
Is It Safe?
Yes. Belotero is an FDA procedure that has undergone extensive tests to ensure its efficacy and safety.
BOTOX or Filler?
Belotero, as well as many other fillers, offer a similar result as what may be achieved through BOTOX, but the approach is different. Injectable fillers decrease wrinkles by adding volume to certain facial structures that look deflated due to aging or weight loss. Because they add volume, the skin’s surface appears fuller and smoother. BOTOX temporarily freezes the underlying facial muscles, allowing them to relax which causes the skin’s surface to look softer and smoother. A skilled surgeon will determine which would give the best results.
Long Lasting?
Belotero results normally appear immediately and last for an average of 6-12 months.

”The Best Lip guy in town is Dr. Jonov. His technique is amazing. I am beyond thrilled with my results. My lips are even and not overly done. I tried this product called Belotero. I had no overly swelling or bruising. Just great results. The best part about my visit is the pain level was very low. I was blown away by this.
